IMAP – Windows Mail (Windows Vista)
1)
Start
Windows Mail (Start -> All Programs -> Windows Mail, or type Windows Mail
in the search box in the Start Menu), select the Tools menu, then select AccountsÉ to show the Internet Accounts dialog. Click Add...

2)
Select E-mail
Account for the
account type, then click Next.

3)
Enter your name
as you would like it to appear in your e-mail, then click Next.

4)
Enter your
UGA e-mail address (myid@uga.edu) and click Next.

5)
Select IMAP as the Incoming mail server type,
then enter email.uga.edu for the incoming and outgoing servers.

6)
Enter your
UGA MyID username, then click Next

7)
Click Finish to complete account configuration.

8)
Select the
newly created email.uga.edu mail account, then click Properties

9)
On the General tab you can enter a more friendly
name for the account (such as UGAMail), otherwise it will remain email.uga.edu.

10) Click the Advanced tab and check ÒThis server requires
a secure connection (SSL)Ó for both incoming and outgoing mail, then click OK to save the changes.

11) After Windows Mail downloads IMAP
folders from the server, you can view your mail by clicking the Inbox under
UGAMail (the name you gave the account) in the list on the left.
